How to Make Money Blogging

To make money from your blog you have to monetize it. How you do this will depend on the readers you attract.

What is a Blog?

Anyone can blog about anything. Information is something everyone is looking for and we all have our own pieces of information, opinions and views. Blogging, although it can be classed as a social thing can also be turned into an internet marketing strategy.

Ways to Make Money from your blog

PPC which means pay per click is the most common way of making money from your blog. You put ads on your blog and you get paid when someone clicks on them. The programs that most bloggers use are adsense and bidvertiser.

Affiliate products is another method. If you join an affiliate program, you will be provided with a unique code that you paste onto your blog. You write posts recommending affiliate products, when someone buys one of these products through your unique code, you get a commission.

You can sell ad space on your blog which we discussed in the previous post. You must make sure you have plenty traffic before anyone will consider advertising with you.

Can you make lots of money?

The amount of money you will make will depend on many things. First thing you need to do is make sure your blog is interesting. Make sure your blog is about something you know lots about and have plenty to say.

Secondly you need to make sure your traffic is targeted. It is not about quantity, but rather it is about quality. If someone for example is a golfer and stumbles on your cooking blog. Will they stay and read your posts? Highly unlikely. This is where Internet Marketing comes in. Successful bloggers are also internet marketers.
